Muckdogs Start Season In Mucky Water

The Muckdogs have started the season slow with a 4-8 start. The bats have been quiet early in the game and silent after the 6th inning. The Muckdogs have only scored more then 4 runs in 4 games resulting in 3 of the 4 wins. Casey Rasmus (.353) is leading the team in batting average and Roberto Reyes has shown significant power while leading the team with 7 RBIs.

The bullpen pitching has also struggled giving up the lead in 4 games. The pitching staff does have some studs, Jose Almarante has started 2 games, has 1 win, and a 2.13 ERA with 9 strike outs.  Patrick Daugherty has started 3 games, has 1 win, a 1.64 ERA and 14 strikes out. Danny Miranda has been a fine closer out of the bullpen with 2 saves and only 1 hit given up over 3 and 2/3 innings.

The Muckdogs will finish June on the road in Jamestownand return to Bataviajust in time to launch some fireworks on the 4th of July.
